Notes calendar entries can only be created by the mail file owner (User One). Even if someone else (User Two) makes entries for the User One, User One has to " accept and thereby own the entry before it gets placed into User Ones mail file calendar for Two to view. Notes does this via email or decline process.

This error indicates that a problem was encountered while opening of the ACT! For Windows database.
The following conditions can cause this problem:
1. The username or password of a secured ACT! For Windows database is incorrect. Verify that the username
and password are correct.
2. A component of the ACT! For Windows database is missing. Make sure the .dbf and all supporting files are
available within the same directory. Try to open the database using Act! For Windows. This may give you a
more informative error message.

Make sure the description file db containing the Pop-Up Lists is linked to the Contacts Database
via the Preference Document. If your description file db does not contain any data - copy the default
entries/data from the Default Description file db located in the Installer to the empty one. See FAQ on
Preference Documents for more information to see how the Preference Document should be filled out.

Go to database properties, click on "Replication Settings", click on "Advanced", click on the
"Fields" checkbox, click on "Define...", change "All Fields" to "Custom", de-select the fields you do not
wish to have replicated (this will probably be "Pathname" and the fields directly following it). |

AFN 2.x: What is the proper way to search for documents in ACT! for Notes (e.g. I only want the contact documents as the result?) |

First your ACT! for Notes database must be Full Text Indexed (see Properties of database. Second, when
adding a condition (click Add Condition in the search bar), select "By Form" and then use form "ACT! Search".
From that point you can select your search criteria. If you need to, you may add additional conditions to the
one you have finished creating.

If you are using AFN 2.0 and the ACT! for Notes database is taking a long time to open you can
upgrade to AFN 2.05a where the Open Database scripts have been modified for faster opening. If you are
using Calendar Integration the ACT! for Notes database may take longer to save an activity due to the
additional updating that is required.
