ACT! for Notes Pipeline

The PipeLine helps ACT! for Notes users and other sales and marketing professionals answer the question:

What business is in the pipeline, and how do we close it?

PipeLine form is made up of six easy-to-select sections. Each Section allows the user to capture and manage information essential to a different aspect of selling process.

  1. Pipeline Profile
What is the nature of the opportunity and who is it with; what products and/or services are we offering; how are we positioning our company to make the sale; what are our strengths and weaknesses; who is the competition; et al?

  2. Contacts & Personnel
Who at the client or customer is involved in the buying decision, and what is their decision-making role (contacts are picke d from a window that contains ACT! for Notes contact names)? Who at our firm is involved in making the sales, where is each in the organization, and what is the responsibility of each (names are picked from the Lotus Notes name and address book)?

  3. Status
How likely is this opportunity to close, and when?

  4. Administration
From the standpoint of Lotus Notes security, who is the author of this opportunity and who has what level of read or write access.

  5. Tasks
What contact-related activities are scheduled related to this opportunity? This section is fully integrated with TaskMaster.

  6. Revenue
What items make up the potential revenue stream, and when might they be realized. All pipeline documents and revenue items are summarized in the PipeLine and Forecast views. Each view sorts the opportunities in a different way. Views may be added to help the user report on opportunities in different ways, or "drill down" into the data, selecting only certain opportunities for summary and review.
